Membership
Lord Bradshaw: Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson in the House of Lords. He has held various positions in the railways earlier in his career, most recently Director of Operations and General Manager at Paddington. He has also been Professor of Transport Management at Salford University, a board member of Lothian Regional Transport, a member of the Strategic Rail authority and the Commission for Integrated Transport.
Chris Davies MEP: MEP North West of England. Party spokesman on the environment in the European Parliament.
Susan Kramer MP: Shadow Secretary of State for Transport.
Tavish Scott MSP: Member of the Scottish Parliament for Shetland. Director Shetland Islands Tourism (1997-1999), Chairman and Trustee Lerwick Harbour Trust (1994-1999). Until recently Tavish was Minister for Transport in the Scottish Parliament.
Kirsty Williams AM: Member of National Assembly for Brecon and Radnor. Liberal Democrat spokesperson on transport. Member of Enterprise, Innovation and Networks Committee. Member of Welsh Party Executive
Richard Knowles: Spokesperson for the party on the LGA Regeneration and Transport Board. Professional career in transport research and teaching spans 35 years and is Professor of Transport Geography at Salford University.
Fiona Hornby: Parliamentary candidate 1987, 2001 and 2005. Proposed, and secured, the take over of a DRT (Demand Responsive Transport) bus service in Wiltshire by Wigglybus Social Enterprise CIC, which she now runs.
Linda Forbes: PPC Warwick and Leamington 2001 and 2005. Exec member LDEG, West Midlands Region and ALDC. Wide interest in transport issues, particularly rail and shipping. Lead member for transport on Centre for Alternative Technology’s Zero Carbon Britain report (due for publication July 2007).
Judith Jolly: Judith recently Chaired the Party’s working group on Local and Regional Governance in England and is currently a member of the Party’s Health working group. She is also a member of the Federal Policy Committee and Chair of the Board of North and East Cornwall PCT.
Stephen Psallidas: PPC Newcastle upon Tyne East. Newcastle City Councillor. Currently works as a Senior Project Officer for a sustainable transport organisation in Newcastle. His work involves designing and assembling funding for cycling and walking routes, promoting Safe Routes to School, and a range of other policy matters relating to Sustainable Transport.
Denys Robinson: Liberal Democrat Research team at the London Assembly. Chair of London Region Policy Committee. Interest and knowledge in congestion charging, fully regulated bus services, light rail, trams. Chair of Trustees, Educational Action Challenging Homophobia (EACH).
Cllr Beverley Shann: Aberystwyth town councillor and has worked to tackle problems with bus transport in Wales.
